The new Education policy in India, officially known as the National Education Policy 2020, was recently approved by the Indian government. This policy aims to bring about comprehensive reforms in the education sector in the country and is the first education policy to be implemented in India in 34 years.

The new policy aims to provide universal access to quality education for all, from preschool to post-graduation level. It also seeks to promote multilingualism and Indian culture, and to create a robust system of vocational education and training. Additionally, the policy aims to make education more inclusive, equitable, and accessible for all students,
including those from marginalised communities.
