1. Brig Hari is a man of many parts. He is a twice decorated veteran soldier, an organic farmer, and a holistic healer, wellness advisor with over five decades of experience.
2. He served in difficult terrain of Arunachal Pradesh, participated action in 1965, 1971 Indo Pak War and also with Indian Peace Keeping Force in Srilanka.
3. He was wounded on 16 Dec 1971 in Gunderman Sub Sector of Kargil Sector. He is a recipient of the Vishisht Sewa Medal, twice.
4. Brig Pant founded the Satellite Imagery department at Army HQ, after training in the Netherlands, as well as spending time with scientists at National Remote Sensing Agency Hyderabad and Indian Space Research Organisation Banglore.
4. After his retirement in Jan 1997, at the age of 69 yrs, he went on to study Agroecology and Sustainable Foods at University of California, Santa Cruz, USA. He also attended courses like Illness to Wellness and Reconnecting Nature with Healing at Schumacher College in the UK.
6. Brig Hari Mohan Pant is the founder of a volunteer community farm in Nainital district called the Himalayan Farm Project, where volunteers, from all corners of the globe, learn organic farming and also produce certain herbs.
7. He has also created a small Himalayan Farmers Collectives, to help small farmers to sell their organic produce.
8. Hari Pant has over 5 decades of experience in Holistic Healing without using Chemical Medicines.
9. He also provides free Thermal Acupressure beds / treatment at the Govt Community Health Center in Bhimtal.
10. He also runs Seven Nature Cure Groups, promoting a healthy future of living without medicine. He is also an expert advisor on LWM Groups.
11. Brig Pant now lives in Bhimtal where his wife runs a home stay. People from around the world come to stay and learn simple healthy living.
