Shivani’s story
Shivani is born and being raised in a remote area where education and access to resources are limited. She always has dreamed of learning more and exploring the world around her, but felt stuck in her small community.
One day, she met a group of volunteers from the Digital Education and Skills Council, who had come to her village to provide workshop on sustainable education, cleanliness, and self-confidence. The volunteers saw Shivani’s potential and wanted to help her reach her goals.
Over the course three months, Shivani worked closely with her mentor, learning about sustainable practices and the importance of protecting the environment. She also learned about personal hygiene and cleanliness, which helped improve her health and wellbeing. Through her mentor’s guidance, Shivani has started gaining self-confidence and developed a sense of purpose in her life.
She continues to learn from the Digital Education and Skills Council, attending workshops and training sessions on a range of topics, from sustainable agriculture to computer skills.
At such a young age, Shivani is a shining example of what can happen when young people are given the tools and resources they need to succeed. She is determined to make a difference in her community and beyond, and is grateful to the volunteers of the Digital Education and Skills Council for helping her along the way.
